Lumbar facet syndrome
Lumbar facet syndrome is a term to describe low back pain and this comes from the back (posterior elements) of the low back. Facet joints are at the back of each vertebra and allow for spinal movements.
Symptoms
Low back pain is a common symptom in lumbar facet syndrome. Depending on the severity, pain may be exacerbated by bending backwards (extending) or twisting from side to side. Symptoms can be variable.
